Ep. 4: Anxiety in Kids
In this episode, I am talking about anxiety in children. Anxiety is when children feel very worried, even if there’s no big problem. I explain how anxiety is different from normal fear and how it involves thoughts, feelings, and how our body reacts. I also talk about why some children might have anxiety and how parents can help. I mention that sometimes parents can also feel anxious, and that’s okay.
Parents can use their own experiences to understand and help their children. Spending time together and doing things children enjoy can strengthen the parent-child relationship and help children feel better. I also suggest a great idea: families can face challenges together. This way, parents and children can support each other and show that even if something is scary, they can work through it.
To help with this, I’ve created a special workbook that families can get from our website. It provides ideas on how to think positively and relax, and it includes fun challenges for families to do together. This can help children feel brave and manage their anxiety better.
